Job Purpose:
To facilitate the financial management between the project management and accounting departments, as it pertains to Risk Management.


Job Billings

  • Construct and manage loan draws and schedules
  • Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers
  • Respond to requests for more detail from customers
  • Originate monthly progress billings for construction projects, ensuring timely, aggressive, and accurate billings and maximize working capital
  • Prepares initial “Schedule of Values” on all construction projects
  • Process accounts receivables, including preparation of monthly draw requests to projects funding source and subsequent monitoring of timely collection
  • Engage title company; handle dummy draws
  • Meet monthly, on a scheduled basis, with each PM to determine that months billing per the contract terms
  • Works with PC on waiver collection, but “commands” the process
  • Establish standard billing procedures to be followed by all PC
  • Other tasks as assigned by the VP of Risk Management


  • Produce and analyze accounts receivable reports
  • Monitor potential high risk customers and concerns
  • Research and resolve escalated accounting inquiries
  • In conjunction with the VP of Risk Management, review, develop and update policies/procedures as needed for AR and credit
  • Manage all the day-to-day accounts receivable and collection activities and consult with the VP of RM on strategy
  • Review collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding
  • Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectable; ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad credit status to account
  • Follows collections process as approved by the Board
  • Prepares and sends monthly billing statements on all active accounts


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting desired; or relevant experience
  • 5-7 years’ experience in construction billings
  • Multi-State experience preferred
  • Strong analytical capability with proficient Excel skills.
  • Able to recognize errors and creatively solve problems
  • Highly organized, creative, always looking for ways to improve processes
  • High level of integrity, confidence and dependability to become a strong team member
