This Project Engineer will start out on the job site in Joplin, MO, upon completion of the project will transition into the office.  The Project Engineer will support construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing functions such as, project control systems, subcontracts, purchasing, and scheduling.


  • Assist with preparing proposals, budget; cost reporting, and selecting contractors/vendors
  • Work closely Site Superintendents to understand project status; review scheduling; update progress reports and other items related to each project
  • Assist the financial aspects of a project from cost reports, to payments, estimates, labor and equipment, invoices and change orders
  • Assist in Risk Management and help identify challenges early in the project
  • Work with the bid proposal process from working with the client; to bid pre-qualification; working with the Estimator; and all other bid related responsibilities, start to finish
  • Develop a complete understanding of the relationship between project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
  • Oversee the review of drawings and contract documents
  • Prepare and review submittals (utilize Submittal Exchange)
  • Manage all plans, scope, proposals, drawings, ‘take-offs’ and other elements of the full project
  • Manage subcontracts
  • Manage close-out process with collecting and reviewing documents needed for Certificate of Occupancy and product warranties
  • Manage long lead items
  • Assist with punch list activities
  • Act in a team-oriented capacity and provide excellent customer service while remaining accountable for ones actions


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • OSHA certification a plus
  • Computer skills required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills desired
  • Excellent organizational, administrative skills
